[Solved] Ubuntu Studio Install Problem

Hi - desperate to try out the renoise 2.5 demo on Ubuntu Studio 10.04, when I try to extract the tar I get this error:

bzip2: Compressed file ends unexpectedly;
perhaps it is corrupted? Possible reason follows.
bzip2: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Input file = (stdin), output file = (stdout)

It is possible that the compressed file(s) have become corrupted.
You can use the -tvv option to test integrity of such files.

You can use the `bzip2recover’ program to attempt to recover
data from undamaged sections of corrupted files.

tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

Any pointers? - fairly sure I have all the correct libraries installed and ready to go, so I’m not sure why its not working. Hoping its something simple :P

Seems like a corrupt archive. Shouldn’t be the case. Maybe it aborted before completing the transfer? Like Matt says, re-download and try again.

Thanks for the replies guys, I’ll give it another go!

Ah ok, seems the archive WAS corrupt - installed now, just need to optimise it for my EeePC! Thanks for the help
