Hey, nice track, I like the tension in it!
May I ask you about the samples? Where do they come from?
It seems like you linked the same song twice, but I managed to find the other one as well.
At around 0:30 on the second song sounds pretty cool but it kind of fizzles out into an ostinato and then nothing more. And I feel like both songs struggle with structure and lack of theme/melody to hook on to that drives them forward.
Nice to see more orchestral on Renoise forum though
Fixed the links

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I’m focusing on getting the ‘sonics’ together right now - hopefully once that is a bit more convincing then I’ll be able to relax there and concentrate more on the ‘music’
They sound very good. Whatever you’re using for the sounds is really good stuff. “Cinematic” is an aptly chosen name for this kind of orchestral music. I feel it would work in the context of a fantasy TV show (or role playing game). Also, I really like that unexpected note that comes in at 00.44 and again later in Cinematic 1.
