SpeedComp 16 - Make a song in half and hour using only 10 samples without thinking too much.
Use only the 10 samples provided. Use whatever software or hardware you like.
Don’t use VSTIs etc.
The aim of Speedcomp is to do something interesting with the 10 samples in a limited time. Not transform the sounds into something totally unrecognisable. There is no time limit for tracks, don’t drone on for ages though. There are no winners.
When: The 10 Samples (chosen by for this round by https://soundcloud.com/noistruct_mandark) will be posted up on the FB event page 7:30 pm Friday 14th of August. After half an hour, post a soundcloud link of your effort back up on this page. All entries played on Thematics Radio 11pm the following evening followed by old mods etc.
Sample pack goes up 7:30pm AEST, if you’re overseas or busy just make something in half an hour when you can, post it up before 10pm the following evening and we’ll include it in the show.

Quick update - Speedcomp 17 is on this Sunday 4th of October and forms part of a workshop on Renoise happening in Newcastle NSW as part of the TINA festival.

Would have liked to have gone to this one, in particualr the renoise workshop. Been a while since I went to This is not art. Out of the loop for a while, need to get back into it.
