Is there a way to start playing a song at an arbitrary point such as the 4th beat of a bar? I would like to easily restart the song many times from this point.

Go into Preferences > Keys and search for play
You’ll find several assignable shortcuts there, including Play From Cursor, which I believe might work for you if you position the cursor where you want to begin playing from:
You could also potentially use the Block Loop function, which allows you to loop a certain section of your pattern repeatedly while you work on it.
