IMHO, it would be nice to have an overlay of the modulation curve on the waveform display, or vice versa.
So, e.g. making snappy kicks, cutting of tails, etc, also gets visual feedback.
Of course, I could just use my ears… 
Speaking of the modulation view,
why does it have 18 bars, then six bars for the release?
I think it would be nice, if the bars gave the same timing information as the top/bottom-axes in the waveform view.
