Hey guys, I can’t seem to figure out how to get Renoise to send start and stop signals to my external sequencer. Midi channels are set fine I can trigger notes and everything but I want to sync the two…
Anyone else know something I don’t?
Basically when I hit the space bar I’d like my x0xb0x to start playing as a slave to Renoise.
Anybody out there syncing Renoise to external gear?
Anybody used this midi clock slave/master stuff to sync with e.g. Reaper?
Here is a detailed tutorial for getting Renoise synced with Reaper:

Without the ReRoute thing it works the same way with any other sequencer which can send MIDI clock.
Cheers!
Hi TacTic (or anyone else) - have you ever managed to configure Renoise as Master and Reaper as Slave?
I’d really like to be able to use Renoise as my main program but record takes on something else. I know I can record takes by using Reaper as Master but it would be so nice to allow Renoise to be Master.
Cheers
Sparky
Check the post on the in:depth pages, you will find the answer there.
Hi Vv. Which article/tutorial are you referring to? I’ve seen your post about syncing with an external video source… There’s Advanced Midi Routing for Renoise… I’ve checked out the post on www.cockos.com that talks about Renoise as Slave but I can’t find the article that refers to Reaper as Slave.
Sorry to be a pain the a…
Hmmz…

This demonstrates Renoise in Master mode.
I posted the Renoise Slave option in this post: https://forum.renoise.com/t/syncing-renoise-to-reaper-or-other-sequencers/20784
If you want the control vice versa to the video, you mean that you want Renoise as a slave.
Either way, both links above show both modes, so what you want should be among them.
