Some comments before. I think it would be better to have an 18dB filter only, to simplify things. (One does not need confusion in choice here.) Also the old school hex command input, should be replaced by automation curves. A general tightening up of the tracker interface possibly. Not so many Oscilloscopes, two (stereo) is enough.
Tech Step also is a tightening up of Trance. One grew tired of phasey trackeq+mastereq+multiband sound a long time ago. This tries for a subband saturation only, over Low ratio compression if any, to clip sound.
To be quite honest I was looking for a simpler āto-the-pointā thing.
I actually have also used Logic Audio, it was extremely featured. Used it with 16channel digital mixing at the end of the 90s. Patchchords and modules with.
Its a bit of a return to the roots thing for me, trying tracking again. After all it was this is was about once.
Now the software is so powerfull that you can do all with
Renoise can do the work using āSENDSā (you can chain SENDSā¦And even make ātreeā of SENDS)ā¦Good stereo effects can be done
One of the most important aspects is the width ,depth, movements
For movements, there is automations curvesā¦And also LFOs , sample modulations
The only limit is your imaginationā¦And also the inspiration you get from others tracks
This genre of music really push you to be creative on the mix
You have talked about āTranceā,so a ātrance gateā can be usefull
Maybe also an apeggiator
