The 32bpm Limit

Now that, as dBlue points out to me, bpm and lpb pattern commands are separated; why is the lower bpm limit 32? It seems a fairly arbitrary value, and 32 isn’t actually all that slow.

Also, out of further curiosity, what are the difficulties involved in adding another bit to pattern commands? Wouldn’t doing this solve basically everything for everyone, including war and religion?

the 32 bpm limit is probably because of the 4 digit effect limit. Now that we can go much higher for BPM however, I doubt it’s needed for the BPM slider.
