How can I control something like the Mouth or similar vocoder in Renoise
That implies you have to be able to play notes on vst effect.
Is that possible?

You can setup a plugin alias instrument that will send any notes you play into the effect:

MDA talkbox works in totally different way than Mouth or other vocoders that have built in synthesizers.

Actually the left signal, right carrier is quite common, Tal-vocoder has an option for it and all Linux vocoders I’ve gotten to work have also used it.
