indeed, as the religion is based on what people assumes as “Truth”, it should not be subject to personal interpretations, expecially in immanent religions, such as catholicism: in this sense, an orthodoxic pope is much more compliant to the rigidity of a dogma.
However, of course, the problem is that that’s absolutely not the “Truth”, or at least it is not the only one in the world, which is basically the same concept
