Why not, when pressing down for example LControl+LShift+Z, let it open up a history box, like in photoshop? Same design, just click the mouse up to the area you want do undo.
Oh, and I’d like to have undo in the sequencer, please… I get so damnd lost every time I accidentally delete a pattern instance…
