Yes, just like @slujr said. The higher LPB the higher the resolution. LPB 16 is my default setting for decades. I often need those extra lines in between the usual lines.
I prefer LPB 8 for things to move slower and most of the time I get by using Q (Delay) and C (Cut) commands for some in-between stuff but this probably depends on ones style and genre.

And attitude.
The less pattern commands the better, that’s my attitude. The cleaner the better, and I like it clean. I even hide everything I don’t need just like VOL, PAN, DLY and FX. The overview is so much better.
