When I start a new song in Renoise, in the upper left corner there’s an option: lines / beat
When I open a song vreated in the past with Fasttracker 2, on the same spot I can change the Tick speed.
How do I get the tick speed option in a new song?

A while ago (version 2.0) the devs switched from the traditional tracker “tick speed and tempo” formula to a more intuitive way of setting song speed involving actual BPM and lines per beat (see Renoise’s Readme.txt for a bit more info).
Because of this, on new songs, you can still find ticks per line in the “Player Options” section of the “Song Settings” tab in the bottom pane, but it won’t actually affect the playback speed of the song, just the resolution of some (but not all) sample effects. Not sure if that’s what you’re trying to do.
