maybe I’m the only one here that doesn’t really need this. Syncing beats to tempo + 9XY offset patterncommands on slow speeds / high bpms is pretty sufficient for grainy akai stretching imitations. Like Botb, said: “if the sample offset would go in deeper detail than 00 to FF, you’d have a decent timestretcher”.
I do it like this:

pitch sample so it is in the correct tempo

use any time/pitch vst I want to bring it back to the pitch I want, using it’s grain settings to get the sound I prefer.

1000 whole internets for the man who gets timestretching in the sample editor - realtime or not i’m fed up of exporting loops to ableton to fit the tempo well enough to 09xx them
