Tools for recording a quick tune on the go?

I only have Renoise installed on my home PC, but sometimes I get an idea for a tune when I’m on the go and only have access to my phone or maybe a laptop. Are there any simple tools for recording and saving a quick tune that I can access later? I’ve used an audio recorder in the past but I don’t really like humming into my phone in public.
