Transpose phrase without retriggering from beginning

Is it possible to transpose a phrase while it is playing and not retrigger it from the beginning?

I think I can achieve this with the phrase in transpose mode, putting a new note in the pattern editor with Sxx pointing to the line within the phrase to continue from. But I’m wondering if there is another way to do this?

Why? I would like to experiment with the phrase continuously looping without retriggering using GF. However, I want to be able to transpose it while it is looping at any point.

You can transpose a phrase without retrigger by entering a new note without the instrument column, like so:
