A simple trim-to-loop command would be really handy.

i don’t quite get what you want. do you mean a command that trims everything out of the looped section in a sample?
(because if you’re talking about that, it’s already possible: ctrl+l + ctrl+t and voila: everything outside the loop is trimmed…)
