Ultimate Renoise Machine

What do you think?

that’s funny a keyboard with XP

This will be the first keyboard ever with Blue-screens and fatal errors :P

but seriously I cannot imagin that a thing like this will improve my workflow.

for $4,599, i feel like i could get much more desirable equipment.

I recall getting less fancy stuff for that money from a music instruments store in the past…

I assume I can build the same thing for way cheaper.

im sure there will be linux distro for this hardware (there are for toasters http://www.thegadgetblog.com/2005/10/03/li…netbsd-toaster/ :), so its only question of time ), wonder how much it will cost without software. If this could be stable and half price, then why not - imo

from a music shop, yes; but we’re talking trackers. i think it’s kinda pointless or even a hassle to have your monitor/keyboard/qwerty/controllers in one, non-configurable layout. of coarse i’d love to have one, but for that price:

$300 - Megavision MV155U Black 15" 5-wire resistive USB Touchscreen Monitor with Built in Speakers
$30 - Saitek PZ30AUR Red 104 Normal Keys 4 Function Keys USB Wired Slim Eclipse Keyboard (back lit)
$400 - AKAI MPK49 (72 assignable controls, with assignable inputs that include an expression pedal, footswitch, pitch bend and modulation wheel.)
$1,200 - HP Pavilion Elite M9550F(FQ560AA)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 (2.5GHz)
Processor Main Features: 64 bit Quad-Core Processor
Cache Per Processor: 6MB L2 Cache
Memory: 8GB DDR2 800
Hard Drive: 1000GB SATA 7200RPM
Optical Drive 1: SuperMulti DVD Burner with LightScribe technology
$500 - PreSonus FireStudio Project
10x10 FireWire Audio Interface with 8 Microphone Preamplifiers, Digital and Analog I/O
$300 - Novation ReMOTE Zero SL
Intelligent Automapping
8 sliders, 16 knobs
Transport Control

total cost = $2,730

Not only have I just jizzed in my pants, but I’ve also outperformed the NeKoXXL (which is priced at $6,899) while saving $4,169, which i think will cover anything i left out (e.g. software, any desirable substitutions or upgrades)

can’t carry it on stage in one trip, but the choice is yours :)
