The idea is to have the possibility to undo an entire recording session. When I record something with a MIDI keyboard and controller, Undo works on the latest event, step by step. I haven’t noticed any option to undo everything that’s been changed since the recording started. I think it’d be really handy.
more generally, a “marking” system would be better:
you set a marker by pressing a button or a keys combination, and a special Undo system could let you roll back to the last marker.
