With Live as ReWire Slave & Renoise as Master:
- Start Renoise
- Add a #RenoiseIn Device and choose Ableton Live
- Add a instrument somewhere in a track in Ableton
- Select Abletons track as MIDI instrument in Renoise -
Alternatively you can also use a virtual MIDI port like MIDI Yoke to control Live when running Renoise as Slave and Ableton as Master.
Using Renoise insturments from Live is not possible, because we currently have no way to route a MIDI device to a specific instrument in Renoise. Something like this would be needed then: https://forum.renoise.com/t/midi-instrument-triggering-routing/23093
