Hello,
Is there any way to implement the standard ft2 effect column commands and key shortcuts to Renoise? I haven’t found any feature of this kind in the configs, perhaps I’m blind, but… It’s really annoying to learn all those again when a few are the same but most do something completely different. Any info strongly appreciated!
edit: Ops, found the key mapping section. Still, is there any easier way than individually assigning every effect and command to the ft2 keys…
Asking a fully Ft2-compatible keymapping from someone else will probably be the fastest.
You may be able to find an old post on this board where someone offered a scheme, though i don’t remember when or where.
The second faster way is to edit the keymapping xml config in a text editor and copy paste various known keycombo’s with the last key around instead of actively perform the keycombo in Renoise everytime.
This will ofcourse only work if certain keycombo’s use the same modifyer combinations in front of it.
f****, I already forgot all the old patterncommands / shortcuts from ft2…arent’t a lot them the same tho? Maybe best to just stick with the renoise default settings, takes a short time to become second nature.
Thx for all the answers. i’m quite a n00b in renoise, having composed most of my latest tunes in reason - it’s a whole new (although technically old) playground. But I’ve mapped all the essentials now, so prolly i’ll just have to get used to the renoise shortcuts… btw, a stupid question w/out searching, but are there any good freeware vsti’s to achieve that chippish sine wave sound (kinda like jeroen tel or purle motion)?
