We all do things different. I happen to be a guy that do some recordings with midi keyboard and DO like to use a pianoroll sometimes. But still most of the times I track with my pc keyboard. So should I ditch Renoise and start using cubase because of that?
And why should you not be able to write notes in the pianoroll using your pc keyboard?
Technically there is almost no difference between a pianoroll and pattern editor (only a few visual ones with note lenghts). So I dont see how a button which is named ‘pianoroll’ is cluttering up things. Simply never press that button if you dont like pianoroll.
oh… I’m repeating myself… you dont like pianorolls, thats fair, the other arguments simply dont make sense to me.
