A thing thats missing from Renoise thats really bugging me (unless I’m missing something) is support for Vocoder Effects.
The Vocoder included in Cubase SX takes MIDI notes to synthesize the vocoder’s ‘SOURCE’ and an audio input at the same time for the vocoder’s ‘FORMANT’. Renoise can’t handle this.
The ideal (more versatile way) to do it would be to have 2 audio inputs, one for Formant, one for Source. With controls for hi/low cutoff, log/lin frequency band arrangement switch, and a noise generator.
A built in Vocoder effect in Renoise like this would be amazing.
Vocoders are such versatile effects (vocoding drums is a good example) and it’s a real shame that Renoise can’t handle this.
