Volume Slider Visuals

Hi

My visual discrepancy shows as:

sliding the volume up ur down of master track in the pre and post volume device chain section, the upper left hand side volume slider does not show the same ratio as where i slide de volume slider in the device chain section, no discrepancy is heard its just a viual thing wich is not the same ratio…

Yes I believe the master volume at the top of the window is on linear scale, whereas the mixer sliders are decibels (logarithmic). It’s hard to use it lower than about -12db or -18db.

sory i need to go for work but as you start from zero in the masters lower devicechain, than gradulaly to max volume i see that much difference in the upper ride hand side’s volume slider.

i am btw on mac os sequoia 15.6 macbook pro 2019

ok but yeah i saw it in the former edition as real same ratio’s might a bug i thought! tnx!

Every version I have tried seems to have the same behavior. Personally I think volume should always be displayed logarithmically (the way humans hear it), and it effectively limits the usability of the master slider. But I have no idea if it is intended by the devs.
