"VST_PATH" on Linux. How Do I Set It ?

hi…im trying linux (knopix) for the first time and i thought of trying renoise aswell . everything works fine but i dont know how to set the " VST_PATH "
i want to try highlife vsti (compiled for linux) but i simply dont know how to tell renoise where the highlife plugin file is.

how do i set the VST_PATH in linux ? … ( tell it to me like if you speaking to a child…because i dont know zish about linux)

Then don’t set a VST_PATH variable. Instead simply copy all your vsts into a directory /home/YOURLOGIN/.vst (create it if it doesn’t exists). Renoise will search/use that directory by default.
