When i use VST Plugins, that are both Effects & Instruments, they only show up in the instrument dropdown menu but not in the DSP section (e.g. Reaktor and Absynth from NI have effects and synths available)
I tried a workaround where i set the “isSynth” within the CachedVSTs_x86.db to “false” that somehow made my VSTs available as both - but this setting is overwritten on a rescan.
additionally i read somewhere that i can somehow manage to set Instruments to be “VST alias FX”-Instruments but i only ever have the mere “VST alias” option, never the fx one.
What is the correct way of importing e.g. Reaktor5 to have it as Instrument and DSP effect?
What operating system are you using? Reaktor FX and Absynth FX are both in the DSP tab for me using Vista. I can’t get any VST fx alias to work either though, never noticed that until now.
