vst sidechain bus support?

It seems renoise still dont support this feature so several vst plugins wont work. trackspacer and so on …

Is this planned?

There is no official plan, but as it has been requested many times, it may end up in Renoise some day.

That’s no real side chaining. Renoise is capable of the same but much more precise, using signal follower + gain or key tracker + lfo + lfo reset + gain/eq. A real side chaining uses the characteristics of a compressor, that’s why it sounds different or lets say better and more musical.

Renoise could support it, AU already supports side chaining, VST 2.4 maybe could support side chaining if supporting multiple inputs… There are lot of VST 2.4 plugins that seem to support side chaining, but Renoise seems to lack some required feature here.
