Hello i have a really cool vsti: Beast.

When i play on my keyboard and don’t relase the key’s all the note’s silde to another. When i make the same notes in renoise and press play all the notes don’t slide into each other. ;) ;)

Does anyone know’s how to make this work in renoise???

erm … thats a refx plug, right ?

they have a weird way of monophonic handling. it works like this :

you need two notecolumns.

to enable portamentomode, trigger two notes.

if you want a straight note, use the same two times, if you want to start with a glide right from the start, use the start note as first and the end note as second.

so :

you want to begin with a straight c2 and then slide to e2 to f2 and back to c2.

the pattern looks like this :

c-2 c2
e-2
f-2
c-2
off off

if you wish to start with a gliding note :

c-2 e-2
f-2
c-2
off off

If you want to get a “normal” (means new trigger) note, you need to set an off on both columns :

c-2 e-2
f-2
c-2
off off
c-2 e-2
f-2
c-2
off off

or, if the new note shall start right after the glide, you take four columns :

c-2 e-2
f-2
c-2
off off c-2 c-2
e-2
f-2
c-2
off off

so this basically means that playing two notes at the same line does switch “portamento mode” on until an off is received.
