Vu Meters On Send Devices,

and when “mute source” is enabled, turn off the VU meter of that track altogether, instead of that kinda confusing “different color to show it’s disabled” VU meter.

I don’t think it’s confusing. It’s a different color, which only happens when muted.

I think the reason for this is because depending on what plugin you’re using, it’s going to increase or decrease the audio coming out of the send track. In this case you can see and compare the two if you’d like. Kinda like Ozone, you see the input and output right next to each other.

And it’s dancing to a tune that is not really playing (that is, unless the send amount is at 100%). I do find that confusing. I wish it was at least configurable.

Are you ever using it for this or any other purpose? Because I certainly don’t, and you don’t sound like you do either. Anyone else maybe? Not that I care that much, I just really want VU meters on the send devices…

I compare the input/output on my ozone. I’ve used the sends in the past but then quickly realized that sends are kind of unnecessary since no instruments/samples are assigned to any one track. Maybe I’d use the sends more if there was a wet/dry fader for sends (instead of the current keep/mute).
