Me personally i would first mix the tracks so that they sit around -5db rather then 0 so that they have more room to breath, then i would add a filter rolling off the frequencies below 45ish hz. Then i would add a compressor with a -4 threshhold and flat ratio with makeup gain. I would then finish that off with a limiter and once in a while a little but of tube saturation (only slightly) for some warmth!
what about you guys?
lo fi mat then izotope ozone
yeah im using ozone at the moment as my limiter i prefer the sonnox one but i dont have the money at the moment
Lofimat is often mentioned in connection with mastering and similar functions. But it’s a degrader! How do you use it in a mastering session?
Lofimat on Master FTW!
Lofi on master here too! Really brings the gritt out
just a touch goes a long way,i usually have bit rate and sample rate up full wet mix at minus 12db and dry mix full, with the broken wave selected.
haha man! i see where there coming from. like i said i use saturation on my masters sometimes! just to make it not sound so ‘clean’ hehe
thats a nice chain indeed
reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > reverb > distortion > Maximizer
Scream filter lfo’ed / lowpass filter lfo’ed / verb / compressor = instagritt!!!
lol that`s how to build a snare out of a sinewave no joke!
