What Kind Of Job Do You Have

Wow all of you cats are programmers. This question really should have been not what is your occupation but what kind of stuff do you code.

Designer

LMAO B)

I’m a medical assistant. Work for a local pediatrician who specializes in biomedical interventions for children with autism/aspberger’s/adhd etc.
I mostly odds and ends around her office, but on the days when the patients come in, I invite them back to the exam room and take their vital signs.

After two more years of study I will be a Piano-tuner :D

if you get really good at tuning pianos, my friend listens to elton john and elton john hired a piano tuner to go on tour with him to make sure his pianos were in tune before his shows. He’s been using the same piano tuner for over fifteen years now. I wouldn’t believe the tabloids that say that he had an ongoing homoerotic relationship with his piano tuner, so if something happens to his piano tuner and he hires you to go on tour and keep his pianos in tune, you might want to consider accepting this position. He pays very well and he doesn’t talk with a lisp.

Me… Well, I do Master other peoples works by word of mouth and self promotion and do make money off this aswell as recording bands from my local area but as a full time job i’m currently working at a call center for Publishers Clearing House LMFAO! ahahahaah funny shit eh

I used to really enjoy programming, but now I’m in the corporate world, my interest waned. I develop Oracle web applications and interfaces. I use PL/SQL, Perl, Java. But now they’re making me use .NET and C# :(

I’ve had a bunch of different jobs, but I’m currently enjoying some freetime. I do jump in as an extra in a bar my friend works at on occasion tho. Last steady one was as a mover, most mind numbing ish ever… but it gave a decent paycheck (under the table). So, anyways, I’m currently pondering about going back to uni, or if I should try and get some new incredibly uninteresting job. We’ll see.

I do make some money off of the music, and a little as a freelance designer (websites, t-shirts, whatever) and other aesthetic endeavors. But not enough.

I, Mathias, work as a IT Controller for a private jet company.

been working as a web developer & designer the last four years… used to work in a record store + at the cinema - which, in some ways - both were more fun, though the pay was a bit crappy ^_^

I do make some money on music through two of the bands i’m involved in. now we have 5 gigs coming up, and that will give me about $2000 / 1500euro… which I think it’s pretty decent, considering we’re only having a hell of a lot of fun, and partying B)

this summer i’m also re-starting dj’ing, which hopefully will bring some cashias on the tabla!

for the electronic/renoise stuff… not any income the latest couple of years. but that might be cus I haven’t actually had anything to sell. hehe.

money made with renoise:

  • a few years ago I made a 7-second soundtrack/theme song for a club, for use in a short TV/cinema commercial. Fun!
  • in 4 projects at work i’ve composed music and sound effects for customers videos and web commercials, that also counts i guess :P

Computer Engineer.

I mostly write C++ code (a lot of Bash/Python/Pearl scripts) to go around VHDL and Veriog code to test and verify the functional correctness before it’s sent out to be fabricated.

datacenter tech and web developer

Roaming telecommunications and rating specialist.

Sucks.

I work at a floorball factory, I’m in charge of our overseas deliveries and also doing all sort of random stuff while I’m at it. I also license music and sell copies of my albums.

Unless I was a fulltime music maker, I couldn’t play with computers at my day job. Staring at a monitor for 8 hours, then coming home to make music on a computer… nah, really not for me.

Night guard

I work as an electronic guitar tuner and metronome. :)

Actually software developer: Current work, Oracle PL/SQL programming. Have done in past and will do in future: Java, C/C++, PHP, etc.

That’s exactly why I quit working with computers, I now prefer jobs that are more like paid powertraining

I work in a kindergarten

Well, obviously not stuff for Renoise. Ye lazy bastards! ;)

But seriously, seems like 2.6 will be for the average Renoise user rather than just the “nerds”…

Hey, I remember you! Where’s my cut homes?!?!
