So since discovered the above, I must have listened to that sing 50 times since. I can’t get enough of when that piano/flute sample sets in at 0:21.

I even tried sampling it and was determined trying to make a “remix” of it, and I was sad I had no clue where that sample was from.

Aaaanyway, yesterday, and totally unrelated to this, I had the idea to make script to search for something on Spotify and make a playlist of it.

One of my first ideas of what to search for was “Guantanamera”, and this is the result…

(it will take a while until I deleted all the versions I don’t like, it started out with 1000 songs which is the spotify maximum)

Just now I had the bright idea to sort by artist, because many songs appear several times and that way I can delete all duplicates at once.

And one of the first songs I came across was… the one where the sample from “Push On” is from!!!

I had a lot of moments of happy serendipity around music and sample, but this takes the cake. What are the odds, right? Can’t tell you how happy I am right now. That is, I tried telling friends, they don’t understand :stuck_out_tongue: I think some of you might <3
