Where Do You Browse?

besides the renoise board, what forums and websites do you visit regularly?

Here’s most of the stuff I check on a daily/semi-daily basis:

Music stuff:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/
http://www.newmixes.com
http://www.dubplatedigest.net

Gaming stuff:
http://www.giantbomb.com
http://www.gametrailers.com
http://www.kotaku.com

News & Blogs:
http://news.bbc.co.uk
http://www.boingboing.net
http://www.gizmodo.com
http://www.thesuperficial.com
http://www.iwatchstuff.com
http://www.geekologie.com
http://www.damninteresting.com
http://memebox.com/futureblogger

Comics:
http://www.penny-arcade.com
http://www.dieselsweeties.com
http://www.sinfest.net
http://www.marriedtothesea.com
http://www.asofterworld.com
http://www.xkcd.com
http://www.wetherobots.com

Other random nonsense:
http://www.popthatzit.com
http://www.wtfpeople.com
http://www.break.com

Wow Dblue, i’m going to add some of those to my daily info glean!

mainly lately:

http://www.renoise.com/
http://episteme.arstechnica.com/
http://arstechnica.com/index.ars
http://craigslist.org/ :D (i’m really actually just looking for an old vw bug or minibus that’s running, for cheap)
http://www.ragga-jungle.com/ (like frkin 24/7)

i try to stay away from world news sites as my mind starts doing very weird things. :expressionless: the less i pay attention to it, the less crazy stuff happens that i hear about, which is very good.

Oh, I forgot one other really interesting blog:
http://www.englishrussia.com

This place is a total gold mine :)

regularly? hardly anything these days… maybe slashdot, but I just scan the headlines and hardly ever read articles/comments.

I’ve collected some links I like though: http://johann-lau.de/links http://johann-lau.de/english_links (I should groom this more)

something I’ve been enjoying lately is http://www.google.com/codesearch (searching for stupid or random stuff more often than looking for problem solutions though).

Other than that I let WebsiteWatcher do most of the visiting ;)

Web development:
http://ajaxian.com/

Gaming:
http://www.shacknews.com/
http://www.gamerswithjobs.com/
http://www.g4tv.com/xplay/reviews/index.html

Hardware:
http://www.dailytech.com/
http://www.fudzilla.com/
http://www.anandtech.com/

I wrote an RSS Aggregator to deal with my reading habits, everything I browse is here:

http://www.sux0r.org/feeds

Re-inventing the wheel, one wheel at a time.

http://www.commondreams.org/

news:
http://drudgereport.com
http://www.opednews.com
http://news.google.com/

forums:
http://free-minds.org/forum/
http://19.org/forum/
http://forum.watmm.com/
http://www.idmforums.com/

social networking:

http://www.myspace.com
http://www.virb.com
http://quranconnection.com/
http://muxlim.com/

and then there’s…
http://youtube.com :)

I regularly read comics online, some of my favourites:

http://anderslovesmaria.reneengstrom.com/
http://www.questionablecontent.net
http://www.myextralife.com
http://www.gunnerkrigg.com
http://www.dieselsweeties.com

I also check out various scene releases from http://www.ds-scene.net and gaming news from http://www.maxconsole.com but those sites feel kinda pointless, along with several other sites I visit that just feels pointless.

Strange how one gets into a habit of revisiting the same sites over and over even though there are way better ones out there. Time to update my bookmarks and remove some crap. :)

Just a quick recommendation.
Try Google Reader for reading RSS news, most websites support this nowadays and it’s so much more enjoyable than surfing the websites for news.

… and happy new year by the way! ;)

http://www.analogindustries.com/

aside from the reviews, funny comments, the layout of the site…

i also like his usage of the word “fucktard”

I mostly just use Google Reader, but sites that I usually pay attention to:

Misc:
http://www.maximumfun.org
http://www.pitchforkmedia.com
http://www.hipsterrunoff.com/
these forums

Games:
http://www.ps3fanboy.com
http://www.pspfanboy.com
http://www.kotaku.com
http://www.escapistmagazine.com

Comics:
http://xkcdsucks.blogspot.com/ (I still can’t figure out how people like xkcd)
http://nedroid.com/
http://www.abominable.cc/
http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com/index.php
http://scottmeetsfamilycircus.tumblr.com/

Damn, dblue. You’re on the web quite a bit.

I’m scared of the web, it ate my little sister.

I only visit this site, myspace, kvraudio, and sometimes youtube. ha ha ha. fuck the internet.

That seems useful.

Website watcher Monitor web pages:
And monitors what you are monitoring :)

Nah, I’ve registered that like 5-6 years ago and since then it has been enhanced in such extreme and perfectionistic ways I’m pretty sure they don’t need any shady stuff… they’d simply not have any time for that

I visit the Internet, I think the internet is good ;)
