Where To Get Clasic String Instruments?

From the backstage I’ve downloaded all the available instruments. They contain some kind of “strings” but all of them have “special/spatial” sound effects.

Is there any place fom which I could get GOOD strings instruments? Imagine please a rock/metal slow song with simple and nice strings during the chorus (not of the people using Renoise makes electronic “music”, neither I need 800 types of synth basses).

Since you didn’t give any backgound info about platform or anything i assume you can use this. It’s very good for the money.

There are lots of options, but i don´t know of any good that are free. I recently purchased some of kirk hunter strings, and they might work for what you describe.

Thanks. I use MacOSX (and also Linux). The instruments you link seem to be for Windows (ASIO and DirectSound). Anyhow, I’m not looking for orchestra sounds, not exactly. Maybe I don’t know how to describe what I’m looking for, but I don’t make electronic music, neither orchestral music

That is a “complete” orchestra so you can use individual instruments or all it has to offer so it’s very flexible. I use it for many kind of music from electronic to hip-hop and to classical.

Yes, but without “special” effects

BTW, initially I was looking for a Renoise instruments repository, rather than MIDI instruments or sample formats.

I don’t have clear image what you exactly want but i recommend to try this one for synth sounds. Check some presets for it tho. Default set is quite cheesy.
Something like this maybe?

I don’t get what’s so special about renoise instruments or samples over virtual instruments/synths because you can easily render them into renoise instruments. Virtual synths are less destructive than samples.
