It’s often the same thing. VST2 Version of plugin works fine. VST3 Version dont shows correct Preset names in Renoise Gui or dont show the real patch/preset name. It mostly show “-Init-” or “Param00” or somthing senseless.
Anybody can give me an answer to this?

This is still the case. VST3 instrument names don’t change, you have to rename it yourself.

Is this a Renoise thing, or is this a VST3 related issue in general?
Most VST3 plug-ins don’t publish preset information to the host anymore, but handle it only internally. The preset handling in the VST3 API is also quite complicated.
But maybe there is something missing on our side as well. If you know of a host that manages to show the preset info of a plugin that Renoise doesn’t, let me know and we can dig deeper here.

Serum and Omnisphere show preset names internally, but they’re not shown in Renoise.
In contrary to those, Sylenth1 works perfectly.
It’s not a big deal, just a little annoying. So if this would take too much time to fix, just leave it like that.
Are they shown in other hosts?
I don’t know and I can’t check, because Renoise is the only DAW that I’m using.
