Windows: Copy + Paste Shortcut Issue after Alt+Tab'ing back to Renoise

When I alt-tab out of Renoise for short period of time and then come back to Renoise I’m unable to copy paste (ctrl+c ctrl+v) or cut paste (ctrl+x ctrl+v) within the pattern matrix.

For reference I like to switch between Renoise and Brave browser watching youtube videos. I have tried alt-tabbing to a Windows folder with the same result.

I have read this, Keyboard Shortcuts - Renoise User Manual , and the pattern matrix is focused.

Renoise 3.5.2
Windows 11
Wooting 80he keyboard

Yeah, that’s not expected behavior. I wonder if anyone on Win11 can replicate this, as it’s working fine on macOS.

Extremely annoying tbh.

Does it work again if you press Control + C/V again a second time, or do you need to restart Renoise to make it work again? I guess other shorcuts beside the ones you’ve mentioned are affected too?

Do things fix itself when you press the Alt key again in Renoise?

Pressing Control + C/V a second time doesnt work.

Other shortcuts are working such as octave up and down.

Restarting Renoise fixes the problem.

Are you probably using some (uncommon) keyboard input language or keyboard IME mode?

I just tried it again and its now intermidently happening. My guess is that a piece of software on my computer is interacting with Renoise.

My guess is that its either my keyboard or a program that I use called Sizer (windows management)

I have this problem too. Since yesterday I can’t copy ctrl+c and paste ctrl+c or blockpaste ctrl+p like I normally do all the time. Never use ALT+TAB though and haven’t left Renoise after opening the song.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to report this, thought it wasn’t helpful to create a new thread about it, but for me it’s a serious problem when working with Renoise. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Found out that CTRL+C doesn’t work.

When I choose ‘copy’ from the left mouse menu, I can paste it with CTRL+V. But I can’t copy anything to my clipboard with CTRL+C.

I’ve tested this on a fresh started pc, in a empty Renoise song, so no plugins loaded anywhere.
CTRL+C works fine outside Renoise.

Turned out that the key assignment for CTRL+C was gone. Sorry for posting here, although I have no idea why that assignment was changed, didn’t touch that part of the preferences in years. But I’m happy it works again.
