Won't Scan Vst Folder

Hi, I just bought a new laptop with Vista Home Premium on it, and thus reinstalling renoise was one of the first things I did after updating windows fully. After which I installed the Native Instruments VST’s Massive and FM8 into C:/Program Files/VST Plugins

After starting Renoise i set the folder to scan for VST’s to C:/Program Files/VSTplugins and it found them.

The problem is i have to do this every time I start up Renoise, while on XP SP3 32bit it worked fine, with Vista Home Premium SP2 32 bit i seem to have this problem.

All the drivers are the newest available and the VST’s are the latest version.

Please help me! It’s not a huge problem, but it’s really starting to annoy me :)

Thanks in advance

What does the VST folder property in the preference say when you restart Renoise? Is it correctly set to C:/Program Files/VSTplugins or is it void?

Can you post here the result of the last Renoise restart in the log file?
To show the log file: “Help => Show the log file”

It is void, does not show the folder.

However, after starting renoise again it did find the VST’s. Might be it only happens after restart, which i shall try after posting this.

After restarting the laptop it seems to see the VST folder. I’m not sure why it has started working suddenly.

Thanks anyway, and if it starts acting up again you’ll see me back here ;)
