Xxxmas Breakcore Compo

great track indeed.

:D thanks

This is what I was referring to Conner… Perhaps I was wrong to presume this post was heavily facetious with an angry undertone (the internet, it has no emotions), but, to my family’s distaste, I was spending as much of my Christmas as possible trying to get the compilation together, and then you post this. It wasn’t very reassuring to say the least. I’d received the bulk of the entries the night before… and I had planned on normalizing them, renaming and retagging them, and posting them to archive.org as a proper compilation… but your post, and the natural time constraints of the Christmas season, made me change my mind entirely. I should point out that I’m no longer annoyed about it… I was simply tearing my hair out on Christmas day, which was not at all what I had intended… not my idea of a good Christmas.

So yes, my post on IHateBreakcore states that I will never be putting together a holiday themed compilation again… and I won’t. I don’t feel like putting the time and effort into such a venture only to have contributors turn on me when I run up on the deadline because they want it released before all of the contributors even get their submissions in.

That being said, thanks to all who contributed, Conner included :) … I realize now that my main issues were the date that I started advertising the compo/compilation/whatever was a bit too close to Christmas, and the holiday season is just not the time to be holding such things anyway. I’m sorry if anyone has been put off by the whole ordeal… and I hope everyone has enjoyed the resulting tracks.

I hope the rest of everyone’s holiday season kicks ass :yeah:

Well, you did your best and pulled it off as far as keeping true to what you said you would do. That’s important to both the concept and your word. So, congratulations and thanks!

The way they do these in the commercial world is that they’re done in July and wrapped up by August or September… in our world, I suggest starting in October with a wrap in the second week of November, if you decide you want to do it again. The result was quality, so no complaints from me. Thanks for the hard work.
