I just saw the Yamaha CC1 (DAW controller), does anyone know if this would work with Renoise? I know it is intended for Cubase but it also says it works with “other DAWs”. Some AI answers I saw say that it can work with any DAW that has something like HUI protocol or Mackie protocol, I couldn’t quite understand. Does Renoise fit in either of those categories?
I’m also a little new to seeing this type of product, which I guess is called a “control surface”, is it the same thing as a MIDI controller? Any other control surfaces that are better suited with Renoise?
