Is there a way to set a seed for the 0Y command?

Just pasting some useful info we gained on the Alpha section (this was discussed there as well)
taktik:
Already have this in the list as “0Z” (Zeed />)
I think it’s enough if it (re)sets a track’s internal random number seed, which then gets applied to any probability commands that are running on that track.
So you don’t have to specify a seed every time you do use a prop command. Still does not really make things predictable, but at least makes sure things sound the same way with the same combination of probability commands and seed commands.
The debate went on with another suggestion from IT-alien and a reply from dBlue, i’m not sure if that idea has been implemented though…
I don’t see any reason why not to continue the discussion with all other forum users.

I thought it would work like this:
Y08 => seed is based on current time, probability is set to 50%
Y1C => seed is based on seed #1 , probability is set to 75%
Y24 => seed is based on seed #2 , probability is set to 25%
taktik:
Indeed, this is a smart solution to the problem that could potentially work, at the obvious expense of overall “resolution”.
A probability range of x0 to xF gives a 6.25% chance to trigger per command value:
x0 = 0% - x1 = 6.25% - x2 = 12.5% - x3 = 18.75% - x4 = 25% - x5 = 31.25% - … - xF = 100%
Realistically, this is probably more than enough to get some useful and interesting variations in the song. The idea here is just “play this thing sometimes”, “play that thing sometimes but a bit more often”, and so on. If someone actually has more specialist needs that demand a finer degree of “control”, then we can probably argue that Renoise is perhaps not the correct platform for them anyway, and they might be better off with something like Max/MSP or PureData instead.
When it comes to the seed choice, 1y to Fy obviously gives us 15 possible seeds. Once again, in practise this may simply be enough for most average tasks. Ultimately, you’re at the mercy of the randomizer itself, which you have no real control over anyway, so whether it’s 15 seeds or or 255 seeds probably does not matter so much in the end. The only intention here is to quickly get something that is somehow different from seed to seed.

Thx vV. Yeah, basically I was simply looking for some way to do a reset to get same results every time, whatever they turn out randomly.
Great feature, cheers! Listening to dBlue’s ‘Maybe melodies’.
