3.5 new factory content (doofers, splitters, etc.)

Hey all,
Big 3.5 day!

If anyone has questions about the new factory content - doofer and splitter presets especially - feel free to post them in this thread. I tried to document things as best I could with the notepad DSP, so definitely read those, but I understand that someone else’s workflow can be counterintuitive sometimes. So if I can clarify anything, hmu.

I may make some demo videos for the various doofer/splitter applications, and if so, will post them here.

Do check out the new factory sample set as well, as there are lots of useful new building block waveforms for those who enjoy synthesis/sound design done fully within renoise.

Enjoy all the great new features, congratulations to @taktik and the team, and happy tracking!

Hey @slujr
first of all: YAY! Renoise 3.5. This came so unexpected. And you definitely did an amazing job with the documentation, love the notepad device.
one question about a doofer preset (Keytrack sidechain)
in the notes it says something about device presets for hydra and keytracker, but they don’t show up here. (maybe because of some older version interfering?)

Ah, they must’ve not made it in, as the only difference between them and the init presets for those devices was the name (for ease of organization). Init presets will work just fine

I’ll clarify that text for the next version

ah, I see. was just wondering about the note range. I usually set it to C0-B9 so I can play the comb/ ringmod in tune. (and the fabulous @OopsIFly formula presets of course)

As long as the range covers the notes of the sidechain trigger (i.e. kick or snare or what have you) it should work as expected. I always leave my percussion at C4 for the most part, so the init range works fine in that case.
