This file is replacing the “tip of the day” with Brian Enos “Oblique stategies”. Replace “TipOfTheDay.xml” in your Renoise folder with this file:

Oblique strategies was a deck of cards created by Brian Eno. Each card contains a phrase or cryptic remark which can be used to break a deadlock or dilemma situation. Some are specific to music composition; others are more general.
You’re welcome

In case anyone disabled “tip of the day”, you can make it reappear by editing the file “config.xml”. I can’t find any other way to make it reappear.

Why not have a look at the original TipOfTheDays.xml file, the format is really easy to understand. So you can easily create your personal tips from random forum jokes or whatever you like. Oblique Strategies in a bunch of versions are available as text, just google it.

So now I’ve made the file in notepad I’m getting an ‘access denied’ message when I try to replace it. How do I get round this?
Edit: Save to desktop, cut and paste to Renoise folder. Sorted.
Must have done something wrong…No Tips Available. Can someone just reup it? Is it that much of a hastle?
