Would it, with the event of better resolution, be possible to create something akin to Logic’s Transform functions? i.e. time displacement and so on. The editor in Logic is really intuitive, and I don’t see anything wrong with copying it. An option for non-destructive and destructive mangling of the pattern data, and maybe several versions of the same pattern could be stored, and recalled at will.
Yes it will, and plans are made for it. But it’s still quite a while into the future.
