Rasmus Faber ft. Linda Sundblad - Everything is Alright (chill mix)
Here is a new mix done today for personal listening pleasure. If you like mostly dark and athmospheric music with a touch of breaks and even noise, try this one out. Plays roughly an hour and is meant to be fully listened through.
I have a mix…it’s not the best (I don’t DJ much). Three things to note about this mix:
1.) I had no monitors so all the mixing is done by ‘what everyone hears’. However, I had gone through and marked song bpms and cue points as best I could and wrote down when best to drop the tune…
2.) I fucked up REAL bad when my mouse decided to go haywire in PCDJ. Sorry…it’s near middle.
3.) All music featured in the mix is from Piston Source, my old ‘tracker label’ for music done in PxTone by Studio Pixel.
(anything by “HS” is me and AGF has since chaned his nick to Agargara to avoid confusion with a more famous AGF)
Legion
(PS = Piston Source)
(PC = Piscolla Post)
(UR = Unreleased...yet!)
(IR = Independant Release)

Abso fooking lutely lovely Great track selection, fast mixing, never drags anywhere, compact and has a lot of personality.
Now give me the damn tracklist, that reggae-ish track at approx 15:00 is brilliant, haha!

Wow! I totally missed this thread! Will up a more satisfactory mix soon, but for now here’s a bit of an oldie, but I’ts got me and a couple of DJ Hidden numbers in there, and he’s a good renoiser! All on vinyl and a little bit sloppy in places. I’ll sort a newer mix I did which has some sweet fresh stuff and is a lot more surreal and atmospheric.

Five Years of Glory (1997-2001)
drum&bass / tech-step / neurofunk
i am in love with and listening to drum&bass since more than thirteen years, starting in early 1997. have been following all releases as sincere as possible and gathering gazillions of tunes, be it in a digital or material form. every genre of music progresses and evolves, but sometimes evolution seems to be regressive and in my personal opinion, this has been the case with drum&bass during the past century. this mix represents a selection of tunes that have never lost their attraction on me… and yes, i do like the early ed rush & optical.
enjoy.
i’ll check out that mix keith303 thanks, looks like it’ll be up my street, i never say i like drum and bass anymore, even though blatantly i do, and this is mainly because i don’t like it that far past the early metalheadz and reinforced type stuff… for some reason it becomes a bit samey after that for a long time. seems like almost everything that was said in drum & bass was said by 2000, and after that any innovation was called something else. ed rush and optical is still more futuristic than anything done nowadays. its a bit like how the future was invented in the 60s and the 80s was as far as it got before a postmodern groundhog day. what am i talking about?
i reuploaded my dj mixes to my webpage not so long ago, so the links are all good now, for anyone that is interested in eclectic mixes with lots of breakcore, hardcore, acid, old skool and other stuff like sonic youth thrown in for good measure. ive stopped recording dj mixes since these were done around 2007 so there’s nothing new, but thats partly because there’s been nothing that new in these genres since then, i havent had to the time to find out the good stuff in other genres, and because i stopped bothering and became shit at it anyway.
Here is a fresh mix done today in the spirit of my two other ones. Dark as usual, athmospheric… melting into ambient, idm, breaks and partly even noisier stuff. Playtime 71:27 mins.
