The “extract midi from loop” feature in the new ableton live looks pretty cool, and similar stuff has been around in various forms since recycle.
It’d be cool to have that in renosie. The transient detection is already there, we just need the option to extract the marker timing to note data.
I wonder if this may be scriptable as well… Given a sample length, if you can pull out the marker positions and the same length, that should be all the information you need - write notes to a dummy pattern or the clipboard or something.
