Do you guys also like to have the “visual representation of the audio output level.” in Pattern editor like as in the Pattern matrix?
Caus i can imagine that this will be very conveniant to.

yeah, bring back protracker vu meters 
seriously though now there are canvas options in the api, could this be scripted?
The protracker VU meters were only reacting to velocity (note volume). So, basically a note on with a fall-off.
Also, the API can’t track the playback position very quickly or reliable, so I would imagine such a tool would feel slightly laggy. ymmv..
What about your disco tool, flashing the track backgrounds? Where is it?
