I would like to hear your music made with Renoise or other Daws

I’m trying out a Lyra-8 by Soma Laboratories. It is a fantastic instrument! Not very suited for the type of music I usually make. So far it has been a lot fun to play. Tried a little hardware jam with it along side a MS-20m and a Deepmind 12.

Not really a tune, just me having fun trying out a new toy.

If we are not having fun making music then it is not worth it.That Lyra-8 sounds huge and i am sure you will put it to good use

A lot of (old/custom modified) stuff seen featured in video’s labelled with BEA5 (= name of studio) to be found here;

See for example the video on building a vocoder there using a third octave filter;

Hi all
a track I made yesterday afternoon, with «funny» lyrics and easy listening/blues style.

I’m pretty happy with mix that’s pretty transparent, therefore I’m still angry with my vocals but… It’s better than nothing

I know some will want English translated lyrics, so, here they are

just woke up and had to listen to
a well-dressed guy talking on TV
he announced with an aggravated look
that the last decree was passed

this morning my routine
has not changed but I’m not very hungry
this morning everything is fine
we have time to prepare the end

all the rulers have taken the lead
of the collapse that we have been promised for so long
on a whim to keep the spotlight
they have moved forward the calendar

this morning my routine
hasn’t changed but I’m not very hungry
this morning everything is fine
we have time to prepare the end

For the volunteers who want to save the earth
there are tablets that will prevent them from existing
There will be refractory people who will not let themselves be done
for them nothing is planned but their future is already ruined

This morning I feel good there’s no more pressure it’s almost the end
This morning we’re far from worrying about train schedules

I could go on telling you
but now I’m off to work, the sale continues during the works

I tried to understand the french, but it doesn’t work anymore, my french had become pretty rusty, if not to say bad. I can only understand parts of your sentences and single words, but not the whole context. What I understand is your happiness about the mix. It’s really good, through headphones as well as through speakers. Ok, not many instruments there (easy ), but good means good! This is a song I can imagine playing while chilling in a lounge bar. Your singing fits, don’t worry about that.

Looks like a toy, but for chopping beats it seems to be pretty cool. Good song, I appreciate the mellow instruments you used next to the drums.

Nice one, sounds like a mixture of “Alter Ego” and “Autechre”. I’m sure you know them.

There is way too less Post Metal made with Renoise. :upside_down_face:

Nice!
I know guys who would prefer fake tracker metal over real metal at any time. Something like this. Your stuff is much better. Good job.

@eretsua : Nice jamming, strong mood! I like that you share your enthusiam and feedback during the video

@zbouboutchi : Sounds good, with a bit of sarcastic humor for the lyrics as often  You recorded the instruments or this is VST?

Thanks  I always have issues writing lyrics, that’s quite hard for me…
Violin, bass and guitar are recorded (by me), hammond and piano are VST and drums are samples.

Absolutely! I’ve been listening to these since I was a kid (my father used to dig late 90’s “idm” and techno), so the influences are undeniable hahah.

Maybe this one should have been checked by someone else, too:

Not bad but i feel like some elements like the synth stabs need to come forward also the main arp melody that plays all the way through could benefit for some variation. Its a good track over all in the style you like the most

Do you mean the second short synth pluck when you’re talking about a “synth stab”? If yes, I softened it so that it has the same volume than the “arp”, which needs to have the same melody over the complete song (it’s supposed to be in the background). But yeah, that’s what I mean when I’m talking about that it maybe should have been checked by someone else, too. Thanks for your feedback. :slightly_smiling_face:

But I have to clarify that this isn’t my favorite style. My favorite style sounds like this:

I was pretty sure that you liked Synthwave

So what genre is this?

This is Elektro aka Electro. But my style is usually soft, not that robotic. That’s the kind of Electro I love. Stuff like this, this or this is the stuff I prefer. But there are different types of Electro. If you’re interested check out DVS NME’s account on SC, he’s got everything there is.

Of course, I love Synthwave. But my favorite style is Electro. I’m listening to Electro since my early childhood. And my one and only official release since the 90s is part of an Electro label compilation. :slightly_smiling_face:

That is a neat little track. very old school. I like the resonant, walking bleeps going on and the way you edited the video to fit with the music. Well done!
