Cool stuff @Cursed ! Nicely dramatic, in a good way. I like your guitar tone.
@TheBellows, wow that is very different from your regular stuff. I kinda like it. But it also gets on my nerves a little.

My nephew wanted to do a time lapse of building his Lego car. So we did that, and I had some fun making a little ācar mechanicā-themed groove for it.
Video and groove right on perfect!!! Children can give us great inspiration sometimes
A track I finished recently, using Renoise to sequence 6 hardwares live (drumbrute impact, TD3, minilogue, DX21, microbrute,NTS-1+ some hardware FX and mixer) a fair amount of midi CC for the minilogue + a few samples enjoy! Lots of delay column anticsā¦
Lovely! That sounds really good and groovy with all these shorts synth glitchy phrases.
I especially like the part between 3ā30 and 6ā10, very pleasant and upbeat!
(also: the title of the tracks have a sens or itās random words? )
I will have to agree with Fabrice, this was wonderful very groovy and well put together
i appreciate that! thanks for listening. the track titles end up goofy because i get attached to the working title theyre saved as. by the time the track is finished, it feels wrong for me to change itā¦lol
Such a nice flow, good job on keeping it interesting despite keeping the main elements consistent. Very convincing arrangement. I also like the groove with its top layers like the cowbell and the stuttered guitar towards the end. Good job!
For the first time in my life I managed to produce four tracks that belong together and released them as a lofi / chill EP. Itās not much, but for me it is a first, so it has some weight to it. Everything done on the synthstrom deluge.
These tracks emerged in a time where I was confronted with my own failures and limits in a way I hadnāt been before. Ultimately, they are about getting humbled by life and coming to terms with the new perspective.
Iād love to hear what you think. I have no idea how this sounds to other people, so even if you just leave a very short comment itāll be much appreciated.
You did a fine job here my friend. The way you write your tracks is like you make them for someone to sing on them so consider making up some lyrics and find a vocalist or why not sing yourself, and you are right they belong together. That synthstrom deluge is mighty powerful but that price point is a no go for me
Thanks for your time to listen and comment! Youāre right, the tracks lack a leading element that guides through. The problem with lyrics is that I almost always feel like I have nothing to say so I donāt know what to write about. And when I do, I find my lyrics unbearably cheesy and cringy. So I stick to vocal chops for now.
Youāre right about the price point. Good thing is that they donāt lose value, so a resell is possible without losing almost any money. With that mindset itās kinda like renting it from the community For now, it fits my life perfectly because of its portability. I hardly have any freetime to spend in the basement, so being able to take it anywhere (watching the kids, sitting on the stairs waiting for them to fall asleep etc.) is perfect.
If I had to pick a cheaper option Iād consider the polyend tracker. Or use my PO-33. Or use an iPhone with Andrew Huangs flip sampler app. (Sorry for drifting off topic)
Haha, i see what you mean, but i donāt really know what my usual stuff is anymore.
Nice video, cool soundtrack. Which kind of drums are you using here?
Anything giving you emotions of any kind is the best inspiration you can get,
If thereās a connection your creativity will flow at its best.
I think all 4 songs are nicely done. āDonāt needā and āAlldachtā sound a little bit like hip hop beats from 20 years ago in terms of āDeutschrapā. āBye, Sommerā is a perfect fit to the picture youāve chosen, it sounds like watching through a window thinking about whatās going on. But my favorite of these 4 is clearly āZahnrad aus Papierā. Really, really good! I love its composition, the choice of instruments and its beat. It feels atmospheric, a little bit depressive and fresh at the same time.
The music speaks for itself, no lyrics needed.
Thatās the same way I handle it.
I bet he means the lead, which is piercing right into your ear canal and is out of tune. But I guess thatās what you wanted to achieve and you did it on purpose. Besides of that itās nevertheless a nice track.
And you did a good job, finally thereās some more funky stuff right here. My favorite part is from 0:01 to 3:33 and I probably would have ended the song at this point.
Yes, that was my thought as well. I was kinda annoyed by it myself.
Thank you for your kind words! That is encouraging to hear
@EndoKrin: Well done getting all your hardware to play nicely together. Did you do it all in a single take? Including the samples? Or did it involve some post processing other than mastering? My synths donāt receive midi CC and I often miss that. Anyway, it is nice to hear a TD3 being used for something else other than acid. Keep up the good work!
@Roppenzo: Whoa! Your kick and bass seem aggressively loud. If it were up to me, Iād knock those down a fair bit. Get it sounding more part of it rather than playing through it. But it is up to you of course and those are just my thoughts. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
Iāve lost track of what Iām making as well. Suppose that can be a bad thing, or be a good thing. Perhaps weād need more focus in the type of music weāre making. On the other hand, it also means weāre exploring different directions. That aināt bad.
Yep, TNT is spot on.
Thank you! It is a Lego car being build so I wanted some car mechanic sounds. Found these copyright free ones. Chopped them up, added some envelopes, LFOs and velocity sensitivity in the Renoise sampler and went to town.
The āhihatā are lego blocks clicking together taken from this video. Same thing. Chopped up with some LFOs on the pitch to avoid a machine gun sound. The final engine sound is from a real Ferrari F8 Tributo mixed with some tiger growls.
Exactly. And as @stoiximan said earlier, kids can definitely cause such connection and spark creativity.
Congratulations @Heptagen! That is a fine EP. Feels good to finish thing and be done with it, doesnāt it? Hopefully also getting the feelings associated with it out of your system.
It isnāt really my taste in music but I can hear the amount of effort you put in it. Alldacht is my favorite. That trip-hoppy start/stop is nice. And that weird ācatā sound over it is cool. I like the sentimentality of Bye, Sommer. Again, well done!
Thoughā¦ I have to agree with @stoiximan. Youāre going to have to find someone to sing over it. Even it is just a few cheesy phrases. Chopped up and mangled like the rest of your music. Iām confident that will elevate your music to the next level. The human voice is something we all respond to. If you donāt want to sing yourself, maybe you can find someone online who will sing for you for a couple of bucks. Perhaps that is something to consider for your next EP.
Anyway, the Deluge seems to be worth the price of admission for you. As you are making music and releasing it. So more power to you and the Deluge. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your friendly and detailed answer! itās really interesting and helpful to read what you think. Maybe Iāll find a good way to work with vocals in future projects
A little something new. Laid-back drum & bass.
