I would like to hear your music made with Renoise or other Daws

Thanks for listening! The hardware is a single take going thru a mixer, all mono besides the nanoverb. The samples are done in renoise, no post precessing, just ran it thru a limiter for now until i contact my mastering pal  I have fallen in love with midi CC, and renoise makes it very easy with it being an identical automation process as using FX. If the TD-3 had CC i could die happy…very fun to make acid that is actually not acid…only by law;)

“Liver sausage and the universe”
Old one from 2014, quite simple/repeating.

That’s a neat little tune. Melodically it is laid back but the drums are full of energy, and I like that! The main melody motif does get a bit repetitive by the end. I think the tune would be more interesting if that develops along the way. Doesn’t have to be leaps & bounds. But a little bit different. Even if it just a different sound playing it. To keep things fresh and interesting. Anyway, that is just my opinion.

@cursed: A golden oldie. I like it! That tortured doom sound remains impressive. And screams “Finnish” equally loud as the title does. :metal:

Yeah, CC is a powerful tool. And a TD-3 with CC would be epic. Suppose there is a way to get that 303 sound with all manner of control through eurorack. But it’d be a lot more expensive than a TD-3. And now, for better or worse, you have that human element.

And something from 2015.

@eretsua Thanks for listening. I agree that windchime loop could use some variation. I do want a motif throughout the track, so repetition is necessary. Maybe later in the track I could introduce a call-response type thing using a different sound. I think I actually planned to do that at first, but forgot about it.

Also, here’s something new I’ve been working on through the past week:

Finally I managed to create some more Elektro:

Never heard of that style, but I dig it. To me it sounds more like classic Breakbeat in a softern style. And it reminds me of Mouse on Mars again. :slightly_smiling_face:

Good stuff my friend. I haven’t had a beer in a year but that track makes me want to and I have no idea why :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Very nice, a playful remix put a smile in my face

That was so good!!!What key is this and bpm because i am trying to sync it in Renoise and i cant?A couple of ideas came in mind so i want to try them out

I always enjoy a slab of classic electro, I’m glad to see it still bubbling away in people’s minds. Too many people these days associate the word “electro” with Electro House. Dionysian Mysteries is a great label on bandcamp putting out stuff like this still. Your track is good, could do with feeling a bit more raw though, maybe run a lofi effect over it, take it down to 12bit 22.050KHz. A little crunch and rough edges perhaps. Nice though.

Yes, it’s a pity. Personally I do attach great importance to the fact that Electro aka Elektro started with Kraftwerk and is fundamentally robotic, machine, synthetic and/or from space. It is neither a sort of House nor a sort of Techno. Thanks for your hint to the label. I know several Electro labels like for example Central Processing Unit, Bass Agenda or Ukonx Recordings, but I’ve never heard of Dionysian Mysteries.

Is it too clean? :slightly_smiling_face:
Your idea is good, it probably would fit best to aggressive Electro, I will check it out. So would you lower the quality of the whole song or are you thinking of specific parts?

Thanks, Panos! Are you asking for the keys of the starting pad? It’s my favorite chord, C, D# and G. 130 BPM. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you, sir! I guess that’s because it’s “Time”.

I mean at least the drums and the bassline, a little crunch and a tiny touch of noise, run them fairly hot through a limiter as well I would respectfully suggest. I like the Renoise LoFi effect, I also use Inphonik RX950 and D16 Decimort for my bit smashing addiction.

Smooth. Nice.

Moin Moin people,
I once tried to do an oldschool HardTrance track that reflects the HardTrance of the late 90s here in Hamburg during my celebration time.

@TNT : That is a nice tune! I’ve been listening to a lot of early 90s electro again lately. And your track could fit right in. I’d agree with Sam, a bit more crunch wouldn’t hurt. Not that it is bad right now. Just a little bit more wear and tear on some sounds will add some additional flavor to it. Maybe on the drums / HiHats and maybe on the lead?

Anyway, cool sounds, cool track. Listened to it 4 times now. Well done!

@Coddy : That has a nice laid back feel. Do you have plans for making it grow and evolve or is this it?

@tisi : That is quite the old school banger, yes. The balance to feels a little off to me. The voice samples are kind of loud. And the bass seems a tad too loud as well. Though I suppose that is part of the charm of this type of club music.

I got myself a Behringer 2600! And for my first noodle on it I decided to make something similar to the opening track on Venetian Snares’ Traditional Synthesizer Music album. It is not a full on cover but it has a similar idea. Let me know what you think!
