+1
want to bump this. lots of lv2 plugins are starting to show up now, and the underpinning libraries were recently rewritten (http://drobilla.net/software/suil/).
and my juce-lv2 wrapper is really going (just need to give the final touches)

loomerās jumping on the bandwagon too:
Iām actually developing it with him.
Most of the work is already done, only needs some fine tuning now.
Sadly LV2 is missing some features (tempo and program names), but we can live with that for the time being.
LV2 got a new UI because of this - X11UI. But i put external UI there too, so it already works in common hosts (even when not using latest lv2 libs).
It shouldnāt take too long.
When done, expect other Juce based plugins to come too, like TAL and Arctican.
Maybe even Pianoteq, who knowsā¦
new calf lv2 plugins are so sexy! plz lv2 in renoise

I desperately need LV2 support, there is now a huge amount of plugin in this format, and Iām currently not able to use Impulse Response reverb pluginā¦ so Iām stuck with patching stuff using jackā¦ bad.
Threaaad Necromaaancy!
But - seriously, this.
LV2 apparently has a ton of improvements over LV2, and it seems like most of the older VST plugins that have been open-sourced are now being released as LV2. It seems like this may be the direction that Linux Instrument Plugins are going - though Iām not sure.
Guh? It has a ton of improvements over itself?
Ha! Kiddingā¦ Anyway, this would be great!
